Colombo Additional Magistrate R.B.Nelumdeniya yesterday granted the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) permission to detain underworld gangster Mohammed Faizar, who was arrested together with Makandure Madhush until today(10).
The suspect was arrested together with Makandure Madhush at his party and deported to Sri Lanka from Dubai had arrived in Sri Lanka aboard UL 226 at around 5.10 yesterday morning.
He was charged under 296 of the Penal Code. The arrested person is identified as 37-year-old Mohammed Nazim Mohammed Faizer, a resident of Colombo 10.
However, 15 people who were arrested along with Makandure Madhush were deported from Dubai and had been arrested by the CID upon arrival in Sri Lanka.
