Sri Lanka, Burundi establish diplomatic relations

Sri Lanka and Burundi have established diplomatic relations from March 11 after signing the agreement by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr.Amrith Rohan Perera and the Permanent Representative of Burundi to the United Nations, Ambassador Albert Shingiro, in New York.

Diplomatic ties between Sri Lanka and Burundi will enhance existing friendly relations and cooperation in the political, socio-economic and cultural fields for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
