Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and Uva provinces and in Kurunegala district after 2.00p.m,said the Department of Meteorology.
Several spells of showers will occur in Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
Showers can be occur in Southern province in the morning too.
Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm can be expected at some places in Central, Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kaluthara district.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
