Due to the shortage of minor staff in the Dambulla Weera Denzil Kobbekaduwa Base Hospital, the management has faced many difficulties to continue works.
At present, 113 minor employees are engaged in duties. However, 230 employees are needed according to the cadre.
Therefore, employees have to bear a heavy workload daily. The management has not taken any action to facilitate them, staffers alleged. Moreover, their overtime payments have been curtailed by the authority. It has been limited to 120 hours per month.
Under this situation, they have to work more after their stipulated duties. They request the authority to consider their grievances as soon as possible.
