Navy renders assistance to douse fire erupted at textile shop in Wattala

Responding to the distress call received from the Wattala Police last night about a fire erupted on the fifth floor of a textile shop in town, Sri Lanka Navy swiftly sent two teams of Navy firefighters to the scene of fire.

Accordingly, 10 naval personnel, 01 fire engine and 02 water bowsers attached to SLNS Gemunu as well as 10 naval personnel, 01 fire engine and 01 water bowser from SLNS Rangala were deployed for the firefighting mission.

Joining the firefighters of the Colombo Municipal Council, the Navy firemen rendered their maximum support to completely extinguish the fire which engulfed the whole textile store.
