Kelum Indika alias ‘Keluma’, an accomplice of Makandure Madush who is in Police custody has confessed the locations of several weapons which had been stashed away at the residence of Wedikanda Kasun including a never before seen mini pistol.
Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said Police who were able to obtain permission to detain and interrogate Kelum were able to locate two more pistols, two rounds of magazines and several 9 mm ammunition at a house in Wedikanda in Hunupitiya, Wattala.
“Kelum has confessed that Wedikanda Kasun, an accomplice of his had stocked the weapons. He is still being interrogated and may reveal many more details that are crucial to the Police investigations since he is an important co-conspirator of Madush,” he said.
“The weapons and ammunition were found at the home of Kasun Dhananjaya alias Wedikanda Kasun.”
