The wife of a prisoner in Batticaloa, who had hidden 210mg of heroin in fried fish served to her husband, was arrested by prison guards on Wednesday. She was later handed over to the Batticaloa Police.
Her husband is a resident of Akkaraipattu and is currently serving a prison term for a drug-trafficking. The woman was to be produced at the Batticaloa Magistrate's Court.
Investigations are continuing.
