The term of office of the Presidential Commission appointed to Sri Lanka and Mihin Lanka Airlines and Sri Lankan Catering Company for the corruption and irregularities has been extended to May 30.
President Maithripala Sirisena has issued a gazette notification last night.
The commission which was to conclude its official term on the 15th of February has been extended on several occasions.
This Commission established by the President on 31st January last year was appointed to investigate the frauds and irregularities which occurred during the period from 1st January 2006 to 31st January 2018 by SriLankan and Mihin Lanka Airlines and SriLankan Catering.
