The Ministry of Power and Energy stated that an inquiry is being conducted to investigate the cause of the fire that erupted at Grid Substation at the Kelanitissa power station yesterday.
Power failures were reported from several areas, the power failure was the result of fire eruption in Kelanitissa Station.
The Director Sulakshana Jayawardana, said repairs to the power lines were underway and the power supply was restored at night.
