Two persons were shot dead near the Ayyan Sabrimale Kovil at Hekitta in Wattala, at around 3.30 p.m. yesterday.
According to the Police Media Spokesperson, the two were shot and killed while travelling in a motorvehicle by unidentified persons who had also arrived at the scene by a motor vehicle.
There were three persons including a woman in the car when the shooting took place. The two males died on the spot while the woman escaped without injuries.
Wattala Police are investigating.
