The number of vehicle registrations in 2018 has increased by nearly 6.45% or 29,146 compared to 2017 totaling to 480,799 vehicles, the latest data released by the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) reveals. In 2017 a total of 451,653 registrations had taken place. In 2018, a total of 80,776 cars, 18,883 three-wheelers, 339,763 motor bicycles and 2,957 buses has been registered. Further the data reveals that 64,159 new vehicles with an engine capacity of less than 1,000cc had been registered in 2018.
