A troop of Naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command, whilst on foot patrol in the beach area of Mannar, today recovered a haul of illegally caught Sea Cucumber.
Three hundred and two (302) Kgs of sea cucumber, a dinghy and an Outboard Motor (OBM) were recovered there and the haul of sea cucumber was hidden packed in 12 sacks. These recovered items were handed over to Customs Office-Jaffna for further investigation, a spokesman for the Navy said.
