The Sri Lanka’s Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General in Jeddah took part in the Foodex 2018, an international trade exhibition dedicated to the food and drink industry, held from November 12-15 in Jeddah.
Tea Tang (Pvt.) Limited, Enrich Tea and Food Export (Pvt.) Limited were among 209 exhibitors who showcased their products at the event. Sri Lanka was one of 20 country pavilions which displayed their products and were represented by Premala Srikantha, Minister (Promotion) for the MENA Region of the Sri Lanka Tea Board. Over 6,000 visitors participated.
Ambassador Azmi Thassim and Consul General of Jeddah Abdul Salam opened the Sri Lanka pavilion.
The organizers facilitated business to business meetings among industry professionals.
