Two special train services will commence from Colombo-Fort to Badulla for the school holidays.
A Sri Lanka Railways official said the train services will operate from December 7 to January 6, next year.
A special train will leave Colombo to Badulla on December 7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29 and January 1, 3,5 at 7.30am. It is scheduled to reach Badulla at 5.00 p.m.
Another train will leave from Badulla to Colombo Fort on December 8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30 and January 2,4,6 at 9.30 am. It will reach the Colombo Fort at 7.20 pm.
The railways official further said this service will operate in addition to the normal services between Colombo Fort and Badulla.
