Robbie confirms Harley Quinn spin-off

Margot Robbie has confirmed the full title of her hugely anticipated Harley Quinn spin-off.

The Oscar-nominated actor shared a photo on Instagram showing the movie’s script, revealing the upcoming action flick is called ‘Birds of Prey’.

It will co-star Ewen McGregor as Black Mask (a Batman villain), along with Mary Elizbeth Winstead (Huntress) and Rosie Perez (Renee Montoya).

The ‘Birds of Prey’ plot is described as following Harley Quinn as she “assembles a girl gang of friends to take on a bad guy”, according to THR.

It is scheduled to be released on February 7, 2020, more than three years after ‘Suicide Squad’ premiered.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie, 28, revealed how her life had changed after starring in ‘Suicide Squad’ - her first big budget action film.

“You’re about to be in a comic book film; now here’s the worst-case scenario of how big and scary it can get,” Robbie said.

“There’s just all this stuff you learn along the way, like, when you get those death threats, it’s [smart] to have a security team do a background check on whoever sent them to see if there is any past history of violence because you’ll need to know whether you need security to go to certain events,” Robbie said.
