Ravi's false evidence case inquiry fixed for February 28

The Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne yesterday fixed the Magisterial inquiry into the alleged incident of MP Ravi Karunanayake giving false evidence before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate into the Treasury Bond Scam for February 28.

On a previous hearing day, the Magistrate ordered the Global Transportation and Logistics Company to handover all the details regarding the director of the GTL Company before November 8. Then the CID also pleaded to issue an order to Onella Karunanayake to appear before the CID and to give her statement regarding the incident. After that, the Magistrate ordered the Onella Karunanayake to appear before the CID on November 8 with the GTL company documents.

Prior to that, the Magistrate also ordered Global Transportation and Logistics Limited to handover all the details regarding the director of the GTL Company.

The Magistrate fixed further inquiries for February 28.
