President Maithripala Sirisena issued an extraordinary gazette notification to reconvene Parliament on November 14 at 10am, yesterday.
President Maithripala Sirisena earlier prorogued Parliament till November 16. The Constitution has vested the President with powers to prorogue Parliament, according to legal experts and only he has the power to reconvene it.
