Orthopaedic and oncologic surgeries commenced at the Teldeniya Base Hospital, recently. The hospital also expects to commence VOG surgeries as well.
The Teldeniya Base Hospital has commenced the service in the newly constructed building of the hospital. After the theatre started functioning, orthopaedic surgeries are performed every Thursday and Friday by an orthopaedic surgeon from the Nawalapitiya General Hospital. Oncologist surgeries take place every Tuesday by an oncologist surgeon from the Kandy General Hospital.
The Intensive Care Unit of the hospital is equipped with two beds.
