A suspect who was travelling in a car was arrested by the Organized Crimes Prevention Division with a weapon and heroin at Kaviraja Mawatha in the Panadura South Police Division yesterday.
The officers arrested the man on a tip-off received and found a pistol, 70 bullets, and 150 grams of heroin from his possession.
The 40-year-ols suspect is a resident of Madupitiya Road, Mahawila.
The suspect is scheduled to be presented before the Panadura Magistrate Court today. The Organized Crimes Prevention Division is investigating.
