Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe could be taken into custody for misusing public property, retired Major, attorney Ajith Prasanna said.
Since the day President Maithripala Sirisena issued two extraordinary gazette notifications removing Ranil Wickremesinghe from the post and appointing Mahinda Rajapaksa as the new Prime Minister, former Prime Minister Wickremesinghe should vacate his official residence Temple Trees, but he has failed to do that.
Addressing media at the Prime Minister’s office UPFA Kalutara District MP Piyal Nishantha charged that Rajitha Senaratne is a most powerful conspirator in this country and he, Patali and some other politicians who cannot engage in politics without power are misleading Ranil Wickremesinghe in order to fulfill their personal wishes. He further charged that powerful politicians were involved in the assassination plot of the President and former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the President is very well aware the entire conspiracy.
