Law College Principal held hostage

The Law College Principal was held hostage at her office by a group of students urging her to take action against an election malpractice there on Saturday around

Principal Indira Samarasinghe PC was released after nearly 23 hours by the group of law students around 3.30 pm on Saturday after being held for nearly 23 hours.

The student’s group claimed that the election held recently was not fair and asked the principal to take action against it.

She had said that action will be taken after receiving the Chief Justice’s directive on the issue.
