JSF Corporation Will Manufacture Solar Panels In Sri Lanka

Solar Panels are an effective method of saving electricity. If you recall, we wrote about how a solar panel operates and the costs involved in setting one up. In case you didn’t know Sri Lanka also has their own power generation project.

Called “Soorya Bala Sangramaya” (Battle for Solar Energy), the project brings together efforts from the Sri Lanka Energy Authority, Ceylon Electricity Board and the Lanka Electricity Company (Pvt) Ltd. The project was set up to promote the growth of small solar power plants on the roofs of households, religious and commercial establishments and hotels. The aim of the project is to add 200MW of solar power to the national grid by 2020.
