All Island Farmers Association President Namal Karunaratne said the previous and present governments had misused a large sum on the project.

Nearly Rs. 400 million was spent on shipping cows to the island and to transport them to Ridiyagama. The transportation alone cost the government Rs. 560,000, he said.
