In a special raid conducted in the Ratmalana station road area on Thursday, the STF had found 24 grams and 610 milligrams of heroin from three youth who were arrested.
The arrested suspects were handed over to the Mount Lavinia Police for further investigations, Police media spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.The three suspects who were arrested are aged 26, 24 and 22 and are residents of the Ratmalana area. The suspects were produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court yesterday and detained for seven days on detention orders obtained by the Mount Lavinia Police, for further interrogation.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Mount Lavinia Police.
