The Public Administration and Management Ministry has issued the Circular No.03/2018 to deploy senior, experienced pensioners in government service.
The circular is effective this month. Secretary to the Ministry J.K. Rathnasiri has said that many vacancies are available for executive grades in the government service. Those who are below 67 years and free from disciplinary misconduct during their service can apply for the vacancies in the future.
Kurunegala District Senior Divisional Secretary W.E. Jayathilake told Daily News that about 500 vacancies are available in the Government Administrative Service alone.
