Uva Chief Minister released on bail

Uva Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dasanayaka, who was taken into custody for allegedly forcing a female principal to kneel before him was released on bail a short while ago.

Earlier today the Chief Minister was arrested by the Badulla Police after he surrendered.

The Chief Minister had forced the principal allegedly to kneel before him as a punishment for refusing to admit a child to a school on his recommendation.
