Five members of the infamous Ava group were arrested by the Waddukottai Police yesterday.
It was revealed that the arrested suspects were involved in a murder case in Chavakachcheri.
Police arrested the suspects on a tip off from a house at Waddukkottai.
Upon searching the house, the Police took five suspects into custody, while one suspect fled the scene.
According to Police, the arrested suspects are residents of Wadukkottai, Chavakachcheri and Lunawil.
The suspects were produced before the Mallakkam Magistrate and were remanded.
