Under the government’s island-wide programme of presenting lawful title deeds for the people who do not hold ownership of lands on which they live for generations, 800 families of Karandeniya, Welivitiya – Divitura, and Elpitiya Divisional Secretariat areas of Galle district received respective deeds at a function held at the Rupa Karunathilake auditorium of Elpitiya Ananda College recently under the patronage of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms minister Gayantha Karunathilake.
