The second commemoration of Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera was held at the Ape Gama premises under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena, yesterday. The President also laid the foundation stone for the memorial of Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera, which is to be constructed at the Parliament roundabout. Mahanyake of Kotte Sri Kalyani Sri Samagri Dhamma Maha Sangha Sabha Most Ven. Ittepane Dhammalankara Thera, Peliyagoda Vidyalankara Pirivena Chief Incumbent Ven. Dr. Welamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Thera, Sri Jayawardenapura University Chancellor Ven. Bellanwila Wimalarathana Thera, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and Ven.
