Christian teachers and students of Paddiruppu National School in Kaluwanchikkudy organized their annunal oli vizha, recently.
The event, which was held under the patronage of Rev. Fr. J. J.Ghana Rupan, Parish Priest of the Methodist Church in Kallar, was held at the school main hall.
Principal K. Thamirajah, Deputy Principals N. Nagentran, M. Subainthirarajah, T. Janenthurarajah, Education Divisional Director V. Thuraviyarajah, SDC Secretary K. Yoganathan and retired teacher K. Jeyanthi were also present.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the oil lamp by the guests, which was followed by carols and other entertainment programmes performed by the students.
