A forty-year-old man was arrested for stealing his wife’s gold necklace and mobile phone in Wadduwa last night.
The suspect’s wife has lodged a complaint at the Wadduwa Police station alleging her husband to have stolen her necklace worth Rs. 73, 000 and mobile phone worth Rs. 23,000 following a quarrel.
The suspect, who resides in Panadura will be produced before the Panadura Magistrate Court today.
Wadduwa Police is investigating.
