The 2018 Budget will be presented by the government in Parliament at 3 p.m. today.
Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera received the Cabinet of Minister’s approval for the budget on mid September.
The government’s expenditure for next year is estimated to be Rs. 3, 982, 367 million.
Revenue including foreign grants is estimated at Rs 2,175,000 million.
According to the proposals Rs 1,308,939 million will be spent on recurrent expenditure while Rs 668,324 million has been allocated for capital expenditure.
