Major changes have been effected to Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) where the Joint Managing Director posts have been scrapped following the voluntary resignation of Aruna Siriwardane last Tuesday.
The other Managing Director Bansa Jayah was offered a Non Executive Director position but he opted to resign, sources said.
The post of Executive Director was re-created and former Elkaduwa Plantations Chairman Nilu Wijedasa has been appointed to this post.Hemaka Amarasuriya remains as the Executive Chairman. (SS)
