A three-year-old girl was killed on the spot and twelve others were injured in a head-on collision between a van and a jeep on the Mathugama- Kalawana Road near the Midalana area in Baduraliya at around 4.20 p.m yesterday.
The Baduraliya Police said that the girl was inside the van when the accident occurred.The injured were admitted to the Nagoda and Baduraliya hospitals while the body of the deceased child was kept at the Baduraliya hospital mortuary for the post-mortem. Baduraliya Police are conducting further investigations.
