Trains have been delayed at the Maradana Railway Station for over half-an-hour now, several irate passengers have said.
Train on all of the railways lines are at a standstill, they said.
Operating Superintendent at the Fort Railway Station speaking to Daily News said a defect in the engine of the 527 train was cause for the delay.
Additionally, train No. 9 was also giving trouble he said, hastening to add that these were not big issues and Sri Lanka Railways was working hard to rectify the situation.
