Two of the four prisoners who escaped from the Mullaitivu Magistrate’s Court have been arrested.
They had opened the court cell and escaped. They were arrested while hiding in a jungle nearby in Selvapuram, Mullaitivu.
The four prisoners were held in connection with a case of arson and several incidents of house breaking and theft.
They were kept in the Mullaitivu Magistrate’s Courts cell along with another prisoner after being produced before the magistrate awaiting transport to Prison when they had broken the iron railings of the cell and escaped.
