The opening of a pond in the Mahamevuna Uyana conserved under the national programme to conserve and develop the Mahavihara Sacred area in Anuradhapura, took place under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the reconstruction activities of the Poya Ge at Lova Mahapaya (Brazen Palace) yesterday.
