Strong winds above 40-50 kmph are expected particularly in Northern, North Central, Uva and North-Western provinces and in Matale, Trincomalee, Ampara, and Hambantota districts, the Meteorology Department said.
Rains are also expected in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Western and Southern provinces, the Met. Department added.
