‘SriLankan employee in New Delhi sexually harassed’

SriLankan Airlines Limited Company Secretary Dalrene Thirukumar gave evidence before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into alleged losses and corruption at the State-run SriLankan Airlines yesterday.

She said before the Commission that the Investigating Committee report on the incident that a SriLankan Airlines female employee in New Delhi was allegedly sexually harassed for two years by a Regional Manager of SriLankan Airlines in New Delhi will be submitted to the Presidential Commission today.

The witness was answering the questions by Additional Solicitor General Niel Unamboowe.

She said Indian woman subjected to the sexual harassment was an employee of SriLankan Airlines in New Delhi.

She further said a four-member Committee including herself was appointed to investigate the allegations levelled by an Indian employee attached to the SriLankan Airlines jn New Delhi.

The other three members of the Committee were, Darshanee Tisera, Bandula Weragama and Chanaka Olagama, she said.
