A petrol shed at Nugaduwa on the Southern Expressway was robbed by two persons who arrived on a motorcycle yesterday dawn.
They had taken Rs. 38,000 from an employee at the fuel station at gunpoint. They had a T 56 firearm with them, Galle Harbour police said.
The number plate of the motorcycle was covered and after grabbing the money, they had gone towards the Pinnaduwa exit.
Investigations are continuing.
