The Naththandiya-Dankotuwa Road was closed from the Bothalegama Junction due to the collapse of a section of the Thummodara bridge.
People can use the Koswatta Road via the Naththandiya-Kuliyapitiya road to reach their destinations.
The road had been closed on several previous occasions due to collapse of the bridge, but was reopened after repairs. The residents of the area said the old bridge is beyond repair now and a new one should be built.
