Former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage was ordered to be rearrested by the Colombo Fort Magistrate a short while ago.
The decision was made by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne after faling to verify bail requirements concerning the former Ministers passport.
Aluthgamage was arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) earlier today after recording a statement.
Later he was ordered to be released on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate.
The former Minister is alleged to have misappropriated state funds while importing sports equipment during the last Presidential Election.
