A SriLankan Airlines flight from London to Colombo was diverted last night after a passenger aboard fell ill.
Flight UL504 made an emergency landing in Frankfurt and offloaded the single medically emergent passenger before recommencing its journey at 5:34 am Frankfurt time.
The flight will briefly stop in Kuwait for a crew change due to legal flight crew duty-time limitations.
It is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka at 11:55 pm. A spokesperson for SriLankan Airlines could not provide further details about the cause of the medical emergency.
