Nearly 62 percent of the people who died in traffic accidents and 65 percent of those who committed suicide by hanging themselves in 2017 had alcohol in their blood stream investigations made by the government Analysts Department revealed.
The finding was made by testing blood samples and body parts of the victims sent to the department by Judicial Medical officers who conducted post Morten examinations, Director General of the Government Analysts Department A. Welianga said.
