Three arrested for fraud

Panadura Chief Magistrate Chandima Liyanage, ordered personal bail in Rs one million along with two sureties on three suspects who had prepared fraudulent application forms to obtain electricity to voters in Henamulla, Panadura, by accepting money from them.

The suspects were arrested by the Panadura Police Special Crime and Fraud Bureau, following compaints made to the Police by the Panadura Pradesiya Saba. The case was postponed for March 8.

The suspects were Chandana Princely Mendis, the defeated candidate of the Sri Lanka Janatha Sandanaya who contested the Henamulla Ward, Seman Fernando and Chinthaka Peiris of Henamulla, Panadura.
