Piliyandala Police have recovered the cash safe including Rs 3 million in cash robbed from a cigarette distributing agency in the area.
Police subsequently recovered a three wheeler with a load of cigarette cartons valued at Rs 1 million lying abandoned in the Hedigama area when the police reached the spot on receipt of information. A police party led by Piliyandala OIC, CI Saranath Samarakoon is conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects involved in the robbery.
