The Central Bank has issued a commemorative currency note in the denomination of Rs 1,000 to mark the 70th Independence Day.This is the fourth commemorative note that was issued by the Central Bank.The commemorative currency note is being presented to President Maithripala Sirisena by Central Bank Governor Dr.Indrajit Coomaraswamy. Deputy Governor Dr.Nandalal Weerasinghe and Currency Division Superintendent Deepa Seneviratne were present.
