A suspect who had stolen a gold ring, jewellery electrical items and cash valued Rs 700,000 from a house at Walapola, Panadura was remanded by the Panadura Chief Magistrate Chandana Liyanage on Wednesday. The suspect is a heroin addict, police said. The suspect had committed the burglary when the occupants of the house had gone abroad. Panadura South Police Crime Branch is conducting investigations.
