A motorcyclist died on the spot after he was run over by a Tipper and luxurious bus on the main road from Habarana - Dambulla yesterday.
According to Police media sources, the accident occurred at Palwehera on the Habarana - Dambulla main road. The victim was identified as Sameera Prasaad,a 19-year-old youth from the Palwehera area in Dambulla. However, the incident was recorded by CCTV camera,” Dambulla Police said. Police sources further said that the incident occurred due to the negligence on the part of the motorcyclist and the Tipper driver. Dambulla Police arrested the Tipper driver.
The Tipper driver was to be produced before the Dambulla Magistrate’s Court. Dambulla Traffic Police are investigating.
