CBSL further extends PTL suspension

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has extended the suspension on Perpetual Treasuries Limited for a further six months from January 5, 2018.

The suspension was extended for the continuation of an investigation by the Central Bank conducted on the PTL.

The CBSL, issuing a special statement yesterday said the Monetary Board of the Central Bank acting in terms of the Registered Stock and Securities Ordinance and the Local Treasury Bill Ordinance has decided to extend the suspension on PTL from carrying on the business and activities of a 'Primary Dealer' for a period of six months.

CBSL suspended PTL from its business as a Primary Dealer from 6 July, 2017.
